Manatee -- Two women have been charged with shoplifting more than $450 in clothes from a Bealls Outlet store. One of the suspects was arrested after deputies shot her with a stun gun, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
When deputies arrived at the store at 5838 14th St. W. shortly after 1 p.m., Easter Deon Goodman ran through the store to elude capture. A deputy stopped her by shooting her with his stun gun, striking her in the upper back, according to a news release.
The second suspect, Briana Nequita Smith, was able to leave the store, but her vehicle was stopped by a deputy at 500 61st Avenue East. Someone from the store identified her as a suspect, and she was arrested, according to the sheriff’s office.
There was more than $450 in clothes in the back seat of Smith’s vehicle.
