MANATEE -- Two gunmen robbed four people as they were getting out of a car in front of their home early Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The victims had just arrived at their residence in the 1500 block of 56th Avenue Drive East about 2:35 a.m., when they were approached by the suspects. One went to either side of the vehicle and they demanded money, according to the report.
The suspect on the passenger side pulled a gun and fired it twice into the ground, according to the report. He then took a man's wallet containing personal items but no cash, and the suspects fled in a car, heading west on 56th Avenue Drive East, according to the sheriff's office.
No one was injured.
