MANATEE -- A robbery early Wednesday that started in the street ended with four gunmen forcing their way into one of the victim's home and stealing more cash, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
A man and a woman were walking down a road about 12:20 a.m. when they were robbed at gunpoint by four suspects.
They then forced the woman to lead them to her home in the 5900 block of 12th Street East, where they stole more cash, according to a news release.
The suspects then fled westbound on foot.
There were three other people in the house, but none were injured, according to the sheriff's office.
Sheriff's deputies, including K9 and aviation units, searched the area but did not find the suspects.
The sheriff's office said there were varying descriptions of the suspects, and that at least two were carrying guns.
