Suspect uses note to rob Bradenton pharmacy of pills

MANATEE -- Someone used a note to rob a Walgreens pharmacy of prescription drugs Friday afternoon, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 3:58 p.m., the suspect entered the store at 3425 53rd Ave. W. and handed to an employee a note demanding specific prescription medicines, according to a news release.

The suspect received the drugs and fled eastbound on a silver mountain bicycle.

Deputies flooded the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

No one was injured.

The suspect was described as being in his 20s or 30s, standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark collared shirt, blue shorts, tan ball cap, sunglasses on a visor, regular glasses, tan shoes and white socks.
