Burglary suspect arrested in Bradenton

MANATEE -- A 29-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday after he was spotted trying to break into an apartment and then into a pickup truck, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
About 3:27 a.m., deputies were dispatched to an apartment in the 3500 block of First Street East when a resident saw Noberto Cortez-Rivera trying to crawl up to a neighbor's balcony above her, according to a news release.
Deputies set a perimeter, and one officer saw Cortez-Rivera unsuccessfully try to break into a truck parked in the 200 block of 34th Avenue Drive East.
Cortez-Rivera was arrested, and the resident identified him as the man who was trying to break into her neighbor's apartment, according to the report.
