Man shot in Bradenton after telling 2 suspects he didn't have $2

MANATEE-- man was in stable condition today at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg after being shot by two suspects after he couldn’t come up with the $2 they demanded from him, according to officials with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was standing in front of the Advanced Auto Parts store at 6410 15th St. E. at 9:32 p.m. Sunday when two males dressed all in black approached.

They asked him for $2 and when he said he didn’t have any money, one of the suspects pulled a gun and shot him in the left upper chest, according to a sheriff’s office report.

The suspects fled on foot.
 
No arrests had been made in the case by Monday afternoon, sheriff office officials said.
