MANATEE -- One man is dead and another injured after a pair of shootings early Saturday morning in the 900 block of 33rd Avenue East, the sheriff's office reports.
Elvis Ruiz, 27, was inside a residence when he was shot at around 3 a.m., a release states. He later died at Bayfront Medical Center.
Another male victim, 26, was out in front of another residence when he suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, the release stated.

He was transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital.
