MANATEE -- A 30-year-old man was robbed early Sunday while smoking a cigarette outside his Bradenton home, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The victim told deputies he was outside his home in the 5700 block of Fifth Street East about 4:30 a.m. when he was approached by a man who punched him in the head and knocked him out. When he came to about 90 minutes later, he noticed his cigarettes and $180 in cash were gone, according to a news release.
About 6:51 a.m., the man called 911, according to the sheriff's office.
The suspect was described as standing about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds and wearing all-black clothing.
