BRADENTON -- Bradenton police are investigating a homicide that occurred just before midnight Thursday in the 2900 block of 29th Avenue West in the Courtyard Square community.
Jason Matthew Stone, 35, was killed by a single gunshot to the front of his head, said Capt. Warren Merriman III.
Detectives recovered one spent casing from a semi-automatic handgun.
Police have no suspects or motive for the killing, Merriman said.
Stone had no criminal history. There were no drugs, weapons or any evidence of wrongdoing found in his home.
The Courtyard Square community is quiet. Crime is rare. The four-plex where Stone lived is well-maintained and quiet.
