MANATEE -- A woman had her cell phone stolen near her home early Wednesday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The woman was walking home in the 1000 block of Longfellow Court about 2:25 a.m., when the suspect approached from behind and took her cell phone out of her back pants pocket, according to a report. The suspect did not show or imply a weapon, and did not say anything to the victim.
The woman continued home and called 911. Deputies were not able to locate the suspect or the victim's phone, according to the report.
